A basic website is a simple website with a solid foundation that you can grow on. It has a Content Management System (CMS) that allows you to easily manage content (text and images) by yourself, we'll show you how. Unlimited features can be added to it turning into your ideal web application.

Website sections and content

The basic website could have 5 sections:

1. Home - an introduction to the website with a summary of content from the other sections.
2. About us - this is a content page that may be renamed as you wish
3. Services - this is a content page that may be renamed as you wish
4. Clients - this is a content page that may be renamed as you wish
5. Contact us - with your contact details that a website visitor can complete and you receive as an email

This should not limit your vision of the website. For an extra cost, we can add an unlimited number of sections and website functions to suite your requirements. Some of the extra features you may have built in include:

• News / blog where users can comment
• Download function for documents
• Member log in area to restricted content
• Shopping cart, with / without online payments
• Google maps on contact us page
• Audio or video clips within the content

Content Management System (CMS)

The website is built on the popular and proven CMS, Joomla. This provides a section that authorised members can log in to with a user name and password. They will then have access to an simple interface where they shall be able to edit content (text and images) as easily as working a Word document.

Design and appearance

The concept and design is created according to your requirements and in line with your corporate image. We also bear in mind that your website will grow and have more features as time goes. The extra features will fit into the website without the need for a redesign; you pay only for the extra features not a brand new website.

Cost

The basic website offers your 5 sections and a choice of design options. The content (text and images) will be provided by you, and you will be able to edit it on the provided Content Management System. This will cost you Ksh. 50,000.This is an excellent website to start off with as more features can be added as you need. Development process

1. Preparation: you prepare the content (text and images).
2. Commencement: you pay a 60% downpayment, provide the content and make the design selection.
3. Design and development: we apply your colours into the design and content into the website and upload it for your approval.
4. Feedback: with your feedback, we make amendments in the website.
5. Approval: once the site is complete and approved, you make the balance payment.
6. Website training: we then train you how to add / edit / delete website content.
